Does a taper effect your waves that would come in on your sides? I've seen a lot of members pics and very few people really have tapers. Just a common question.

Tapers WILL effect your waves on the sides and the back. Because of the taper cutting down so much of your hair, your wave length is essential eliminated, therefore no waves will form unless you grow out your hair. Tapers aren't a bad thing though. I just only get them in the back of my head. Other members don't get the tapers on the sides, because their like me, in the sense that they want their waves to come down to their hairlines.

I feel you, I just looked at my side shots and my wavelength is very short from the taper. Need to go it back out.

I think it all depends on where u want ur waves to start and stop at....If u want them to ur hairline then tapering isn't good....Unless u don't get a bald taper, and u just get a light taper...thats not as bad, but only effective if u hair is kinda longer than norm...When I wolf I get light tapers and my waves are still there...

Taper makes the waves stand out more, and you can wolf longer with a taper.
