I see that people say combing hair is good for connection. My question is
do i comb with the grain and brush after or comb against the grain and brush after?

its called the combing method, its here somewhere just have to hit a thorough search for it.

Combing your hair before a cut is a huge plus, not every barber combs it for you that may cause dude to cut ATG if you have a ton of hair up there. It doesnt matter to me whether its ATG or WTG but some have a preference and combing before hand will give you a even clean cut.

Combing can help straighten your waves and help with connection if you already have an established wave pattern.

Neophytes should stick to just brushing.

But, please note that overcombing waves can have negative effects.  If you overcomb your waves, you risk straightening them too much.  Basically, overcombing can decelerate the recoiling of the individual waves causing you to experience dead spots.  Each wave has to recoil with the surrounding waves to maximize connection and definition.  Overcombing can stagnate this process.  More simply, the teeth of the comb can pull waves too hard.  Bristles are preferable.

Is it good to normally comb at an angle or comb at a 90 degree angle were the teeth of the comb is down to try to space ur waves?

You should comb at the same angles that you brush.

He's talking about the angle of the comb in reference to his waves.
