Combing your waves can improve connection, but if you over-comb you'll lose this benefit.  It doesn't create a new pattern.

suppose like before you start combing ur waves have like no conncetion really at all!!! but they are everywhere!!! then when you comb & brush right after for a while its going to look like you got a whole new wave pattern??? right???

You're not really creating a new wave pattern.  You're just cleaning up the look of your dishelved waves.  Connection improvements come from vigorous brushing and some combing, if needed.
