QuoteReplyTopic: updated pic of my hair. Posted: June 28 2007 at 7:51pm
Here is a picture of my hair taken today. I washed this morning. and combed it out this afternoon. SO you can see a few strands that go straight on the top, pretty frustrating.
As you can see, the tip of the V is a few inches from my waist. Unfortunatly, the bulk of it is at BSL.
This looks like you tried to share the picture by linking it from your own computer. You'll have to upload the picture to an image hosting site and link to it from there. I'm not sure which sites will allow you to link it directly so maybe somebody else can help. I always load them to my own site to share them so I'm not sure where you need to upload the picture to get it to display.

That link doesn't work either :-(. Perhaps you're using a link from when you are signed on to myspace? Try finding your myspace account without being signed on and use that link?? This stuff isn't ever as easy as it should be.

Yes, that one worked! I love the pic and your hair looks awesome! I actually like the V-shape and don't think it looks to exaggerated at all. Like Jennifer says about herself ... you're looking like you're all hair. It's surrounding you like a cape and looks wonderful. Thanks for taking the time to get the picture up for us to enjoy.

I am so glad it worked!!! I logged out so I coule hopefully get the it, and now I can't log back in!!! UGH!!!oh, well, i'll figure it out.
Thank you. You really don't think it is to extreme? I have gotten a lot of compliments on it, but IMo they new hw upset I was at loosing the menth that they were just being suppostive! My mom says I have a wool scarf!
I get frustrated with the top layer. I normally spray it and scrunch it and it helps a bit.I didn't do it this time.
I would gladly look like I am all hair! What a great disription. And I agree, Jennifer looks like she is all hair, also.

No, I don't think it's too extreme at all. Personally, I rather like the look of a "V" as long it isn't really wispy and your's isn't at all. It's the tell-tale sign of growing hair out. Now, about the hair on top that you say is straight ... I didn't even see it and when I went back to look at your post to see how you were linking the picture, I noticed where you said about the straight hairs on top. I then went back to see what you meant. It's really not very noticeable unless you look for it. It probably bothers you because you know it's there; whereas, others don't really notice it.
Yes, I think it's funny too when Jennifer says she's "all hair". It's a funny thing to say and yet it's true. It tends to surround the whole top of her body at times like a blanket or thick web.
Good luck getting back in to your MySpace account and thanks again for the picture. Since you now have a place to store them, maybe we'll see more??

We are always our own worst critics. Thank you again. It is reasurreing to hear that it looks alright. It was cut this way from my waist, so I don't have alot of choice but to let it go for now. I usually have it in some sort of a V shape, just not this extreme.
I figured it out, so I'm good as far as the my space account. I will let you know when Iget new pics taken. My 8 yr old took this one. I am thinking of trieing toget one outside so the color can be seen better. I actually have alot of red in it.

Tdouty is right on the money, Alisa. *Slowly* trim the very bottom of the "v" as time unfolds, but believe me, it looks great now! Had some unscrupulous stylist given my wife a "v", it would not look half as good as yours, but no way would I want the rest of the bottom cut to even it. It'll get there! Blessings, Bob

Oooohhhh, trust me there is no way i am going to trim the bottom to meet the sides.I am just now starting to feel like myself again.
I have been ever so slowly triming it myself, which is why it still measures at 32 inches, where it has been for 3 months.(UGh) I keep feeling like it is taking a long time, because it is still at 32, but then I remember that when it was cut in nov, the sides measured at 19, and they are now at 27,then I smile.
Your hair is awesome! The thickness and shine are amazing!
The V is not too extreme, though it might be for someone with thinner hair. I keep mine in a V because I had such trouble with one side growing slower and it was always uneven. I'm trying to gradually lessen the angle as it grows and the ends thicken up. I don't want it straight across again though.
I am oiling quite a lot this time of year, to try and keep it shiny. Also, I am IN LOVE with the redken all soft line! There are alot of chemicals that I don't know what they are, but it works really good, and only has one cone, so I am not going to fret.
I usually have it in a V, because it helps with weight and it perks up the curl quite a bit.
I guess I feel like I do not have any hair, because they gal who cut it, took a razor to it( keep in mind, my hair was waist length ), from the shoulders down. Can you say BOING!!!!! I told her, if you take 1 in off, it will act like 3, but.... that was the past, no use dwelling there, at least I found this site, and have learned a ton!
I will most likely keep it in some sort of V, even when it is at my tailbone, which is my goal.
Thank you all for such reassurance. Isn't it great to have friends that share your passion! I now my husband gets tired of hearing about my hair. OH, don't get me wrong, he loves it, would freek if I cut it,and will completly support me in the care it needs. I think, he thinks I am just a tad obsessive.Which I have been diagnosed mild OCD.
