I would try using indian hemp and see if that keeps your hair from drying out during the day.

You're fine, especially with your hair texture.  Just use the H20 method and brush vigorously while you wolf and you'll be straight after your cut, if it's cut right.

durag till yah hair is dry, otherwise it curls up cause its wet and loose
