Thanks for the reply, its getting a little better with the styling now.  You were right about the flippy style, & my hair is naturally almost super straight.  I'll keep trying, and I appreciate your response.  I've  been using this new Matrix Voloumizer Thixel spray, which seems to help some.  Smile  I'll be keeping trying while it hopefully grows back quick.

I don't know how your hair was styled at the salon, but I presume that it was one of those flippy styles where the ends curl upwards?  If so, try putting gel in your hair, including at the roots, and use a curling iron to get the ends to flip upwards, and use a blow dryer to get it to stand out at the roots (flipping your head over upside down while you blowdry is one way to get that).  You may also want to experiment with the round brush while blow drying, that can help flip it.

If you have curly hair naturally and you wanted to straighten it before flipping it up, that will be a lot more work, and you may want to consider trying out curly styles that you don't have to straighten first that work with your style.  There is a gallery here of hairstyles that you can shoot for if curly is what you have and that wasn't what it was when you came out of the salon.

I'm sorry to hear you miss your hair, styling those short styles can be difficult and requires some practice to get it how you like it.  With practice I'm sure you will make it though, good luck.

Hi Everyone    I'm Jama in FloridaCool  I just joined tonight, hoping to get some info on how to deal with just going from rather long hair to a new layered style that has been razor cut.  When I left the salon it looked really cute, but I cannot get it to look like it did.  My hair is in good condition, although colored, I just need some help with the flat iron, and getting used to the new look.   Right about now I'm about ready to go out and get a wig, I'm missing my long blond hair.  Any help would be appreciated.Confused
