I just installed 22" bohyme, a litle over 4oz. I have never used bohyme before. I know every hair will tangle to some extent but I feel like this is too much. Just a little moving around and the ends get all tangly and it's hard to brush.

Any suggestions?

Wow, maybe it's a bad batch?
Use some leave in conditioner, and blow dry it.
^..^

I was thinking it was a bad batch but then I installed two packages. Well, only a little of a second package.

If it is a bad batch, can I get a refund? I mean.. have you ever heard of this happening? I'm really upset. This is my first time installing with LG and I wanted it to look great!

have you washed it yet? have you tried putting any kind of products on it? Its very uncommon for Bohyme to be tangly like that. Dont give up yet, see if you can tame it

Bohyme shouldn't tangle. try using Pureology hydrating shampoo and conditioner (especially make sure you use the conditioner). Thats what I use and my extensions always feel great.

Cali-Kristin do you use Pureology hydrating shampoo on tract or weft? I have tape/LG install I wasn't sure if the hydrating shampoo would loosen glue.

Where did you buy the Bohyme hair from?  I have read about seller's on ebay, online stores, and even physical beauty supply stores selling fake Bohyme hair. They copy the packaging and include cheap hair instead of the real thing, to make a bigger profit.

I purchased from ebony online. Each package was a little over $100, I believe.

Ebonyline is a very good company, you have nothing to worry about!
I have had a bad batch before, it happend to me once only, it wasn't tangling at all, just frizzy.
What you describe is very strange. I would say use good products and wait another week to see if it gets better or worse...
Do you ever go to bed with wet hair or go to the pool/hot tub often?

Nope, never! I just installed this hair. I am trying to tame it as we speak. Do you think ebony online would give me a refund or new batch of hair?

What happened to your bad batch?

I agree, Ebonyline is a good company and I've bought lots of Bohyme from them in the past with no problems.

I've used Pureology with wefts many times but not with taped installs (I actually haven't tried the tape method yet, but I've seen it in person and it looks great). I have used it with LG installs and it works great. I would recommend Pureology with whatever method you use. It's 100% vegan and sulfate free so probably the most gentle product on any type of bonds. Definitely get the hydrating conditioner, it's awesome! I was just up in San Fran for the weekend and I ran out of my travel packs and had to use a friends shampoos. There was a noticable difference in the softness of my hair after using her products and they were another top brand. As soon as I got home I washed my hair and let the Pureology conditioner sit on my hair for about 15minutes and it's all nice and soft.

How long have you had the hair installed now? You didn't by chance try dyeing it or anything did you?

Does anyone know any national chains that carry Pureology?  I have looked for it locally and haven't seen it anywhere.

I doubt that they would give you a refund, but you should contact them, you have got nothing to lose after all. My "bad batch" came from another company, that has a good reputation too, I don't know what went wrong, but I never got a refund or exchange or anything.
Ebonyline has a good customer service though, wait a few days and see what they can do maybe...

I've seen Pureology at CVS Drugstore and at Target too; do you have those stores where you are? You could also call some high end salons in your area and ask them if they carry it.

You'll be looking for the type in the light purple bottle like this:

They may not give you a refund but some companies will give you a discount on your next order. Ask for the refund first and see what they say.

Thanks, Kristin. I will check out Target. I never even thought to look for it at some place like that. I wouldn't have thought they carried higher end hair products. Thanks again!

I’ve noticed sometimes the drug stores like Longs or Rite Aid or Target or even Wall mart will sometimes carry high end beauty products. It’s usually just a few though and not many different brands.

I’m a little confused on this because normally drugstores carry the cheaper stuff. Also the price on the beauty supply line products is not always better and may even be higher than what you would pay if you just went to a large beauty supply type store.

My concern is are the drugstores buying these lines at a reduced cost because the product is old or may be close to expiring? I know with certain conditioners that contain proteins, they can actually become rancid.
