Hi all, I haven't posted in a while since I've been going au natural, but I've been noticing my own natural hair has been shedding like crazy the last week or so. Maybe it's the time of the year? Anyone else experience this around this time?
I find that every Spring and Fall my hair goes a little crazy and starts shedding. Also, when I was ill last spring with the kidney infection, about 2 months after I got better, my hair shed more than normal for about 2 weeks.
I would agree that unless you are shedding more than 100 hours a day and for longer than a few weeks...it is probably the normal cycle.
Try not to worry. I know that I always do but then it stops and all is fine. I have learned that eating lots of nori (sheets of seaweed) seems to slow down my shedding and also taking silicea.
Hope that helps.

I too have noticed a huge amount of shedding in the last couple weeks!! I'm not wearing any extensions right now(coloring & waiting for 24 inch asian hair)....I figured I'm going thru a shed stage!! Maybe it's our winter coats growing in!!

Hi Asinnamon,
The winter coat idea definitely makes a lot of sense considering we have hair to protect us from the various weather elements. Can't wait to see your next install. It sounds like it will be fabulous.
