Please help me.  I went to a salon and I think she left the toner on too long because portions of my hair is purple.  How can I fix this?  Any suggestions.  I need to just try to fix it a bit before I can go back in 2 wks. thank you!

I'm told that shampooing with tide will take out some of the toner. It probably grabbed purple as those areas were in poorer condition. For the next 2 weeks condition, condition, condition.

a good conditioner is loreal mega moisture, you can get it at sally's...it is in a yellow tub like container....did you get the purple out?  if the tide didn't do it you can look at the color wheel and what is directly opposite of purple, which probably be orange or something like that...it will counter act the purple...i don't have my color wheel down here with me or i would tell you what it is....listen, good luck on this and it could wash out just fine....but the condidioning is VERY IMPORTANT.  let us know how it turned out.

I have thought about it but they say that tide destroys your hair.  I absolutely hate my hair.  It is orange on top and greyish purple 3/4th the way down.  I dont know if I should go back to her and have her try and fix it or just buy a box and try to fix it myself.  It cant look any worse than it does now.   should she of put a toner on it at all?

boy, what a mess....i would go back to the salon and have SOMEONE ELSE fix the problem, like the manager or along that line....you should not have to pay for this service....sounds like someone really screwed up.....or you could use colorzap, you get it at sally's and that will take the color out then you can put another color on....but if you do go this route, be sure you do a strand test with the new color so you will know how it will look and how porous your hair is....i sure can understand your frustration....i hate that feeling....are you experienced at coloring your own hair?

Not really.  I have gone to this woman for the past year and she has always done a great job on my hair but I have a feeling she left the toner on too long.  Do you think she is what she did?

ok....i would go back to her and ask her to fix the problem....i am unfamiliar with what could cause the purple and orange situation.  hopefully she will fix it for you....good luck, let us know how it turns out.

Go get One-N-Only Color Remover and mix 1 oz each of bottles # 1 & 2 and 1 oz of shampoo and put it on as quick as you can, workiing it into all of your hair. It should take the color out really quickly without damaging your hair at all.  It STINKS STINKS STINKS but it will take out any color you don't want in your hair. (DO NOT USE bottle # 3.. just throw it away) I am removing brown right now and I left it on my hair for 2 hours and it didn't damage my hair one bit! once I got to blonde/WHITE I put a toner on it and OMG... turned BLUE.Cry Put the color remover on it and it took it out in a few seconds!!Clap

hey shelly, i have heard other people say not to use the 3rd bottle on the one and only color fix....what is up with that?  i know i used a color remover made by matrix and the smell was awful but did the job.  i am interested in what in the h#^* is in that 3rd bottle and what it does.
