I was just curious to see if anyone on this board has tried hairdreams extensions. I hear they are similar to GL and socap but the bond is made of nylon so that are easier to remove.
It would be nice to hear from someone who has tried GL or socap too.
socaps are the hardest to remove with a remover or with acetone, you will have to use socap-remover, I love BE-extension-remover liquid from eurosocap.
It disintegrate the bonds into powder. Is not greasy at all, doesn't leave the hair wet,........
If you take the extensions out, you can immediately re-install the strand. I find that an advantage in case you have to take some stands down. I take them down every 4 weeks around the face line an on the top of the head and re-install them. Or in the neck aria if the client often wear a roll-collar.
The bonds are not flexible, so if the client has a very sensitive skin, they can be itchy the first couple of days.
As for the quality of the hair, in my opinion the dark colors are ok, In light colors I prefer eurosocap.
To at volume I would go for socap (single drawn). For long straight eurosocap (double drawn).
GL has his one remover too, but you will need to shampoo the hair after a take down.
The bonds are ok. If you are considering GL, please go to a certificated extension artist and ask for your guarantee certificate.
If you go to a hairdresser who is not an extension artiest, I would go for a more flexible bond.
I have tried hairdreams . I removed mine with alcohol I believe. The newer one I had in were harder to remove than those that had been in a while. The hairdreams bonds were harder and not as comfortable on my head as the keratin adhesive. I used colors 4 and 5 and it was good quality hair but I ended up going with a weave method after having fusion. The fusion pulled too much of my natural hair out.
I have performed just about every method on the market. Fusion is a decent method in general. Any method can 'pull hair out' if the stylist doesn't put them in correctly, the client doesn't take care of them correctly, and the stylist doesn't remove them correctly and patiently.
I do Socap USA, along with about a dozen other methods, an I have many clients who love Socap after trying other stuff.
I have talked extensively with the Hairdreams people at the hairshows and even got to try applying a few of their bonds. It seems like a good product.
Most durable fusion bonds can be difficult to remove if they are taken out before the glue has had a chance to start breaking down, usually around the 12 weeks mark.
Fusion doesn't deserve the bad rap that it's gettting! I have worn weaves myself for about 5 years, and I DID get permanent thinning in my temple areas from the constant tightness of the braiding.
