Hi Tinker2! Sorry to hear about you hair troubles. I do have a lace front wig that I haven't worn. When I purchased it my measurements were off and I guessed my circumference to be larger than what it is. It fits a 21-22in circumference and is 16in Remi virgin hair. If you would like to know more or see pictures, PM me. Good luck.

$600 is install and hair together.  Im shocked someone charged $1500 for SO Cap, wow. that is unreal and a total rip off.  GL is usually $1500 or higher.
I live in CHicagoland area tinker.

I don't know how a stylist could charge that for So Cap.  In this area, it is virtually the same price as GL to have done.  The So Cap is $345 wholesale for 150 strands ($115 per pack of 50) which is a full head for most.

At any rate, my personal experience with So Cap was so bad I would have to be high and have money to burn to ever use it again.  Seriously, my $100 hair from Your Hair Shop is holding up much better than a $1,500 So Cap install.

[QUOTE=leducred]wow $1100 for SOCAP USA?  wow.  I spent $1500 for GL's. MY first install w/SO CAP USA was $600 i think w/tip.  Which is what I will spend in two days for them to be done again.
Cannot wait.

Was that for a full head? And was the hair included in that price? And if the answer is yes to both these questions, could you please tell me where you get your hair done?

Also I don't understand what you mean by "Which is what I will spend in two days for them to be done again"?

Sounds like you have a good extensionist.

Can anyone tell me what to do to remove the glue someone has really gotten into their hair?  It's a black one not sure of name.  It's a caucasion
staight hair.

Sofiaone, what is lacefront?

PIP,
I can tell you from now two bad experiences not everyone can wear the strand by strand method. I had a second hairdresser convience me that the first install was done wrong, which it was. But then so was the second. Too much hair on far to little hair! Also I have very very fine hair. I am actually bald in spots. So beware, there are people out there who don't care if you can wear fusion or not, they are just in it for the money!!

But also remember, on the other hand, there are good, very good hairdressers out there who really care about their clients. Unfortunately you have to weed out the bad to get to the good. And since I have moved to the So. Mid West I've been doing nothing but weeding. LOL

HI PIP....is your hair shedding from the stress (divorce)? if so, I am not so sure you should do the strand by strand extensions at this time as you may end up losing more hair. Any strand by strand method (fusion, locs, etc) would cause damage if your own hair is not in optimal health. I would suggest you look at lacefront until your hair gets back to normal and you are only doing extensions for either thickness or length then strand by strand might be good again.
i have done fusion/locs/shrinks and won't do them if my hair was shedding.
hope that helps.

When you go for your monthly color and she checks your bonds she should replace the bonds that have grown well past their initial placement point. She should also replace the ones that have tangled because they will  probably tangle again. When she does that she removes the bonds, comb out those sections of hair to remove the residue and shedding hair and then re-tip and reinstall that bond or replace it with a new bond. It's important to do this every one to two months, no longer than that.

Well thank u for the advice, I get color done every month, so she goes through the extensions and makes sure all is ok.  I was lucky to get into today and she was able to pull my mess apart, and it looks all shiny and beautiful again, on november 21st it will be three months, so as much as i am loving long hair, I will plan on getting them removed on my next appt.  so tonite i go to sleep with a loose pony tail, silky pillowcase and try not to toss and turn too much, i am going through a bad divorce so the stress has taken its toll on my own hair which is normally in good condition.

When you mention maintenance, are you referring to having the stylist go through the hair to check....do you think the once a month color appts is adequate for her to go through it.  Again, thank you all so much for the advice....greatly appreciated...oh i was mistaken in a previous post, the hair she used was dream length not great lengths....

Also, it has been advised to me to take prenatal vitamins while going thru the divorce to hopefully strengthen my hair.  If you have any suggestions on supplements to improve hair, I would love to hear about it. thanks again

NO extension of ANY kind should be in your hair any longer then 2-3 months MAX withoutsome kind of maintance.
we loose approx 100-200 strands of our OWN hair PER day- which means which ever way your extensions are installed, your own hair will be shedding out DAILY. thus the hair that sheds out will be STUCK in your head, not falling to the ground, sink etc. so if it is not maintanced 2-3 months, you will have a Matted mess by the time someone gets to it!

well she said 4-6 months.....i put a call into her but assume she is booked today and tomorrow, i have tried everything to get them apart, it feels like they are bonded together at the top of the bond, i was able to loosen the bottoms of the bonds, it is like i have a ponytail under my hair, but thank you for the advice....

How long did your extensionist tell you this install would stay in for?
If she's not too far I would suggest stopping in and asking her for help.

Hi P.I.P. You have to very gently pull them apart. From now on you will need to finger comb your hair at the roots several times a day, it'll only take a minute or so. If your bonds start to twist together often that may be a sign to have your monthly/bi-monthly maintance done because they've begun to grow out. It has to be part of your daily maintenance and will add to the longevity of your fusion.

Hi
I had 100 strands of GL installed on aug 21st, i too have very fine hair and started loosing strands from the root a few weeks after, my stylist added 25 more strands cause I thought it look too stringy, then she gave them a good haircut, they looked good but this morning I woke up with 5 strands in the lower back middle of my head stuck together, I don't know what to do, I have been applying conditioner to this area to try to get them unstuck, but afraid if i rub too hard I am going to loose all this hair, anyone have any suggestions, the picture on my post is the hair extensions first week, here is a picture of them yesterday before the matted mess, any suggestions would be appreciated.

first two pictures are right after installing on august 21st
last two pictures are from a few days ago, had color and haircut on november 1st

Thanks for the input sourgirl, but she won't even give me half of it back. And what's worse is she got so tangled up on the phone she admitted to overcharging me for putting it in! bustedI will be taking action, but only after I get all my ducks in a row. I don't take kindly to being ripped off, I don't have the money to spare, at least not that much. Sure I have had bad experiences before, luckly not too many, but a few, and they didn't cost me even half this much! I took them as learning experiences, but I feel this was just a little too over the top to chock off.
