SHADES COLORING

I had my hair highlighted really blonde a few weeks ago and I decided it was too blonde so I went back the next day and she added some depth by using Shades Cafe Au Lait. I loved this color, but now some of my root has grown back in and I have been to Florida since the highlighting so I am pretty blonde, too. I am going in today for some Shades applied to tone the blonde down a bit - is it okay to use Cafe Au Lait all over? I have heard some say that this has red in it and I don't want any warm colors (red, yellow, orange). I liked the Cafe Au Lait, but wonder if she should mix with Platinum Ice and/or clear? Any ideas?
