Spray on leave-in conditioner with sunscreen. and take a little spray bottle with you in your pack and use that through out the day - esp if you are going on water rides. You should be ok, if nothing else your highlights might lighten out a bit. I asked Marty (the guy that does my hair) about you today and he said he redoes weaves every 3-4 months. I had mine done the end of Feb and he says I am "due" now for another visit. I guess that is the down side when my stylist's kids play ball with his kids -- he can keep an eye on me! :p I am going in next Tues to get my nails done, but am not going to do my hair again until closer to sept. Getting married Sept 24 :) and don't want to do it twice before then.
I really miss Cedar Point :( You can email me directly if you wish -- nermal7744@usa.net

Tanya, Good advice! Thx! Actually, I have found the miracles of color-enhancing shampoo when the highlights have become drab. I have medium blond (natural) hair with light/golden blond highlights. I like them alot. Apple cider vineager .. hmmm never heard of that. I will try it. I also worry about what will happen when I go to Cedar Point next month. Wearing a hat is not an option with my hair, but I have a shamp/cond with sunscreen. WIll I be okay or will it effect my highlights if I get them re-done about 2 weeks before my trip?
You should be ok to do it again. I have a heavy weave done on mine about every 2-3 months from dark blonde (natural) to golden blonde (highlights). When I do get it done, they only do the new growth and blend it in. I also do a deep conditioning treatment 1-2 times a week and have healthy hair. What color is your hair and what color are your highlights? HAve you considered trying a violet shampoo for blonde/silver hair? When my hilights are looking ill it works for me, I also use it on occasion on my son's hair which is dark brown with natural dark gold highlights and it works great for bringing out his color.
I rinse once a month with apple cider vinegar or seltzer/tonic water to get all the deposits out of my hair and that lightens it up too.

Got hair highlighted March 1st. Color has all but faded. Split ends are finally under control. Can I risk highlighting again? I only highlight 3/4 of the strands from the top down to about 2" from the ends. Will it damage my hair if I color it this soon?
