Hi Idamarie: When your stylist colored your hair and highlighted it you probably were happy with the first result. The second time you were not happy because when hair is highlighted it loses alot of pigment. Because your stylist is still using a light color on the new growth and pulling through on the lightened hair when you shampoo the color fades quickly. If you really want to go to a medium auburn use that color tint with 10 volume for deposit only haircoloring. The only problem you will have is touching up your new growth. You will have to use the tint with 20 volume hydrogen peroxide on the new growth in order for it to cover gray.
I need help! My hairdresser is messing up my haircoloring. I want to got back to coloring it myself. My hairdresser has colored my hair and then highlighted it. Three weeks ago, my hairdresser touched up my roots (I have gray hair) then pulled the color through for another 10 minutes. It washed out just like before. I like it to be a medium auburn, not strawberry blond. What do I do? I would like to get it back to a reddish brown and do it myself. Thanks for a response.
