If anyone out there can give me advice or tips I would greatly appreciate it. I have shoulder length hair that is thick, wavy and man do I have alot of it. I just dyed it and added highlights. The only way I have been able to tame it is by blow drying it and using a flat iron to get it straight. I really want to show off my new color but the process of straightening my hair takes about 1 and a half to two hours. Time I dont always have. Therefore, I do not do it often. Instead I result in just keeping my hair slicked back in a pony tail. My boyfriend and family members say that they are tired of seeing me with my hair pulled back. Can you please give me any suggestions or products that will work for me.

Hello. gosh do i have the same problem! i have shoulder length extremely thick hair, and kind of wavy. ok, here's what i do. i blow dry my hait with my hair up! yes, hair up! i put it half up though. the ponytail is in a loose one so as not too leave a mark. then you dry it as much as possible (it does take longer with it half up, but not nearly an hour and a half to two hours!) and take it down. if anything is still wet, 'finger style' it. pull your hair down tight with your fingers and blow dry it. this helped me. hope it helps you!

I have extremly thick hair too. I always use hot rollers to keep it under control. I used the big ones and rolled them under. Or I would take a curling iron and take small thin sections of hair and curl them. Or you can just decorate your ponytails. Like wrapping hair around the rubber band or braiding your hair and pulling it back. But just last year I can a short pixie cut and it's adorable. And fun to use different dyes on.

Have u every gone to the salan and had a hairdresser razor your hair alittle bit to help get some of the bulk out. Your hair sounds like my girlfriends and i did that and she has had some success. And also maybe use some redken products like for straighten hair i have always had good results with that.
