QuoteReplyTopic: Putting Yellow Back Into The Blonde Posted: December 07 2007 at 1:08pm
Ok, so I have some highlights (bleached up using Clairol Instant Whip Bleach formula) that are just kind of a blah beige blonde and I want to tone them yellow. But it's kind of hard to describe because the regular golden toners don't give me the bright yellow that I want. I don't mean neon yellow, but I want a bold, buttery yellow color to contrast with the dark reddish/golden blonde base.
The beige and red together are kind of blending too much and kind of create an allover unicolor look. Any suggestions as to an awesome buttery yellow deposit product?

You could try a 8 wash type dye. Bleached hair will hold they dye (by sort of "staining" the hair) and if you don't like it you can wash will a fortifying shampoo. I forget the names of those ones the the little cute boxes that are 3 bucks Australian.

You guys are awesome, thank you for some ideas. I tend to see people who hate the yellowish tones and want to tone them out. But I happen to love them on blondes, especially on me with my skin tones. Anything else and I don't look as bright, and if an ash tone, I look dead/sick. I've played with Clairol Complements demi permanent in the gold colors but even though a yellow base, it wasn't the color I was looking for.

or maybe roux rinse in tempting taffy? http://www.cachebeauty.com/wholsale/roux_rinse.htm
hope this helped!
Oooo, I checked out the Roux Rinses, and the 23 Frivolous Fawn is very close! If that were lighter and a little more yellow, that would be exactly the kind of richness in a color I want.
