I just go by when it looks like it needs it - with low lights its usually not as prominent, but there are a lot of factors:

how light is your hair now -- is there going to be a big difference in ur current color and the natural color?

Mine run about once every 3-6 months depending and I use clairol`s naturals semiperm color in between trips.

I woulldnt` recommend doing it yourself. tried that once...
Hair type: fine but thick; natural blonde with 15% grey

Im getting some lowlights in a few weeks so I can go back to my natural color. How often will i need to have them done? Can i retouch them mslef with the color and a ap?
