Thanks lovetocolor. It's been nice talking to you. Like I said I'm a newbie to all this, but still answered your questions. Let me know if you try the shampoo or not.

Thanks Smile I'm letting my layers grow out, so to me it seems a mess at times. I had an inch cut off the back in Nov. I'm going to get another trim in April.

Ok, I tryed the shampoo. It has a very light fragrance. The texture feels different to me then other shampoos. Maybe a little thicker. It left my hair feeling clean and light. I really like the results.

Well, one of my biggest concerns in coloring was my hair turning red. Shocked I dyed my hair light ash brown from a box a long time ago when  I first got few greys. It turned red and I hated it, I was afraid to try again. Anyways, like I mentioned above, my hair was such a mess anything be an improvement.

I ended up using 30 developer with half light ash brown and half light natural brown. I also put unred in it. And, I still got the reddish brown. Ermm I do like it though, and my husband loves it, he colors it for me.

Going shopping tomorrow, going to pick up that shampoo, I'll let you know how I like it.

your hair looks nice and shiny....ion color is a good color....from the back it looks like you went with a color that had some red in it....did you?  do you remember the name of the color?  i am facinated with color....it looks good on you....oh ya, i went through my walgreens add and there was the special on the naked naturals!!  i think i am going to try it if it does not smell too strongly of lavender.....right now i am using biolage for colored hair and redken color extend conditioner....fill me in on your color.

Actually, I'm a newbie at coloring. My natural hair color is the darkest brown, almost black. I was getting highlights to cover greys. When that stopped working, I stopped getting the highlights. So, I had black and white hair on top and growing out highlights. I was a complete mess lol. Thats how I found this site to get advice. I ended up using Sallys Ion color. Here are my results........

What a coinsendence I started a post in the general forums about this shampoo. I saw the shampoo in the Walgreens flyer.  Yes, I agree about the cones. This shampoo is cone free but the condtioner has cones. I think I'm going to try it. Thanks for your reply.

it is really important to use shampoo for colored hair.....there is this new stuff, they have it at walgreens and some other places, and it does not have any sulfates in it....it is called naked nature or something like that....is is awupuhi and lavender scented.....i don't know if it has any cones in it or not but using sulfate free shampoo is a good way to go,  i have red hair and have red coloring on my hair and i have not had the fading problem people have with reds....i use colorgen (sulfate free) from sally's.  but if you don't use shampoo for colored hair it will fade faster, but you could put a demi on it if it does fade, if you don't want the cones on your hair.....you hear things about cones that make you not want to use them.  good luck

How important is it to use shampoo for color treated hair?

The reason I'm asking, I've been looking for a shampoo with no cones in it, and everytime I find one it doesn't say for color treated hair. Confused
