......your first LW application? I was laying in the bed right now and I started thinking about my first application. Honey Chile let me tell you, I looked like a damn chia pet! I applied my hairline so low that I felt it almost blended with my eyebrows, my unit was thick and needed to be thinned and my knots needed to be bleached (I tried to bleach them but was too scared to leave the bleach on that long). Now as far as the glue and tape, Lawd have mercy, stuff was stuck everywhere except where it was suppose to be. Looking back on that now I can't believe I walked my happy but out of the house lookin like that.
To all my sistas who are just venturing into lace wigs, your 1st application might be a hot mess, but trust me when I say this, don't get discouraged, keep on trying because you will get it. Because, if I got it (after looking like Chia Pet #1) you can!
Chia pet! - My first application was sooo exciting, I got blueliner everywhere except the lace & my hairline. Blueliner & eyebrow? blueliner & ear? Blue liner somehow on the dog? Reverse ventilated baby hair eggroll with blueliner?
Ooo, I thought I was on point! I'm much better now, but unhappy with my double chin in photos so no AVI...

ooh girl i'm actually getting ready to do my 1st app now. i might be too embarassed to show ya'll pics in the morning. we'll see...pray 4 me
My sisterly advice to you is TAKE YOUR TIME. Don't be like me and rush rush. That's why I ended up looking like I did. I say for your 1st application have a least a 2 to 3 hour window for yourself to apply your unit. Don't get frustrated because you can do it!!!!!!
My bathroom was an covered in ultahold webs. It was a mess. I had glue EVERYWHERE and yall know I used that big ass brush that came with it. I was a hot mess literally.....It was the dead heat of summer. But when you enjoy something you master it and I love being cute!

I let my next door neighbor do my first app after she lied about having done them before. I can relate to the chia pet look cause that's how she had me looking. Glue everywhere, hairline starting about an inch above my eyebrows, the unit was too thick and very wiggy looking but despite all that, you couldn't tell me I wasn't lookin cute, or at least I thought so. My first application that I did myself, it took me about four hours of applying and reapplying. Hang in there, it does get easier.

My first app: I used cream adhesive and when I took my scarf down the next morning. I had all this indian baby hair plastered to my forehead. It look liked I purposely tried to gel down all my baby hairs in a wavy paatern. It was a hot mess and I wore it in a ponytail anyway. When I compare my hair today to what it was like two years ago, I just shake me head, LOL.

What's your story.......
Thank you for this post. I bleached my knots tonight and I knew I didn't bleach them good cause it still looked liked little bugs were crawling around in that wig. After reading your post, I took that wig right off of that wig dummy and redid Breh's method and dang girl them knots are on point now.

For my first App, I remember reading about everybody spilling their UH all over the place and getting it all in their eyes and babyhair. So I was DETERMINED to not spill a drop. Things actually went well...got a few babyhairs stuck together, but nothing major. I had too apply three times cuz I had put the UH down too far...but I hadn't spilled nothing so I was so proud!
Why after I got her applied and thought I was lookin cute...I went in the other room and when I came back awhile later I stepped in some sticky stuff, I was like WTF! Yep, when I left the bathroom I must've knocked the UH over...I was cleaning that mess off the sink, the cabinet under the sink, and my floor for weeks...had to throw the dang rug out!

I actually applied my first lf last week with the help of my mom. Actually we got is applied fairly quick. My problem is finding the right adhesive combo. I am a hair perfectionist, so I have reapplied twice since then, but that dang Mr C is so sticy and never seems to dry. I really need some ORWG, I am going to have to break down and pay for overnight shipping. I will post pics as soon as I thin it more and perfect my part trick.
