I have waist length hair that has some waves at the bottom. The top is straight from the weight of my hair. I would like to find a product that could straighten out my hair completely (or atleast a little bit) without blowdrying it or do damage. I seen an ad for a new straightening cream by V05, it says it will leave curly hair smooth and straight till the next shampoo, I haven`t looked for it in the stores yet to see if a blowdryer is need for it to really work though. Has anyone tried this yet? Do any straightening gels, balms, or lotions work without heat? Please help! TIA.
That`s kinda tough to do. :) Ogilvie makes this straightener that will leave your hair straight and smooth for about 3 months without using a blow-dryer. BTW, the VO5 straightening cream is nothing special. It didn`t straighten out my waves completely when i blow dried it, so I doubt it would work effectively air-drying it. Also, there`s this wonderful blow-dryer called Philips SensorCare. It adjusts the temperature of the heat to how wet your hair is. I`ve used it for a couple of years, and its awesome. I`ve tried regular blow-dryers before and they just fried my hair. But this one is truly special. You might want to give it a chance. :) You don`t need to blow-dry your hair every day. Anyway, the straightening creams and lotions I use that I think are the most effective on my hair are John Frieda Frizz-Ease Wind-Down Relaxing Creme, John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon (to use on my ends after blow-drying), and John Frieda Frizz-Ease 5 Minute Manager. However, I don`t use both the relaxing creme and 5 minute manager on my hair at the same time because that would weigh my hair down tremendously, and I just use a pinch of the styling creme. Good luck!
