I have a dilemma, My hairdresser moved to Florida and he suggested someone else in the salon for me to see and I am not comfortable with her. I need to find a new hairstlyist that will spend some consulting time with me.

Can anyone help me out!!

what did your last stylist do that this new person doesn`t do and if she make you feel uncomfortable then you should sit just for a trim and see how she is annd what she knows and tell what you are looking for in a stylist and see how she feels about it and what she has to say and it will only be a trim so if you still don`t like her then find another stylist

Thanks for the reply, I don`t think that she is comfortable, she is fairly new and trained by my old hairdresser. But it took her 2 1/2 hours to color my hair and blow dry it. She was literally shaking when she was drying my hair, which made me nervous. If she is that bad with a blow dryer how is she with scissors. LOL I will give her another shot.

Hi Sleepyhead,

You are a braver person than me. I would be very nervous about letting this new person cut my hair.

I would go on the hunt for someone new. I don`t know what part of the country you live in or what your budget is but if you want to email me I might know someone in your town.

If not, why not start watching people and when you spot great hair, ask them who their stylist is. Then call and tell the stylist you are evaluating that you just want a consult and will pay for it.

Talk to them and get a feel for them before you decide to let them have a run at your head.

Hope that helps.
Karen
