Your idea of Great Hair?

i sound like i repeat myself. demi moore for me has my great hair. i like the color, length, texure and style. her style is great because it's simple but looks good. i like when she had bangs too. she looks good without them too.

Black
Straight-ish
Ankle-length
Falls in a natural shape of varying lengths (not trimmed into an even line)
Ends have their natural taper (no blunt ends)
No split-ends
Mirror-like glossiness
Having horizontal fullnes/volume

Hi Lyris,

Right now I am casting covetous eyes at the "Barely There Barrette" model on page 2 of my newly arrived but already desecrated France Luxe catalog. I'm usually pretty happy with my hair, but it's too thick and wavy to lie flat like that. I like her highlights, too, not "stripey" at all. It doesn't help the photo doesn't indicate how long it really is. The total simplicity of it is quite attractive to me.

Then after 30, you'll always look good as you age. I just hope my terminal length is at least to the knees though :P

you have split ends gren? your hair sure doesn't look like it. i know how you feel. i still have split ends no matter how gentle i am also. it gets so frustrating!!!!!

Hi All! My idea of beautiful hair has always been waist length, wavy/curly--like Alanis Morissette's. Demi Moore's hair is absolutely gorgeous though.
I like Ana Kournikova's too.

LOL PrincessM - yes I do! and I keep a pair of hair scissors handy, and trim during commericals while vegging in front of the TV!
To answer your question - next year, 2004, will be my 20th anniversary of growing. In 1984, I had hair about an inch long on top, and very closely buzzed sides. It had been colored, moussed, gelled, blowdried, and beat to death. I hated it and was sick of the whole process of mass media hair care, so I stopped doing anything to it. I had horrible hair for several years while it grew out. Once it reached my shoulders, it was better. Once it got to mid back, I knew I was not ever going to have short hair again.
I've had 2 major trims over the years - one in the early 90's, of about 6 inches, and one in 2000, again about 6 inches. I do little trims every now and again, the last at Easter, of about 1.5 inches.

So there you are. History of Gren's hair.

Now you know why I am the first to say "patience" when someone asks how to get long hair!
