Well you think your first app was bad, my first app was with ENDURABOND! You want to talk about bad experience, you should have seen me. First of all, I research EVERYTHING TO DEATH! When I first heard about lacefronts, I was intrigued because I have ALWAYS LOVED HURR! I dont give a darn what you got on, a walmart sweatsuit, or a $200 pair of jeans and some Jimmy CHoos, if your hair is on point you look good. And if your Hurr is jacked up , well, then YOU are jacked up! I started my journey just going to demosrations, but i wasnt even about to spend $1000 on a wig. Its wasnt until I found BHM last summer that I REALLY got some knowledge about this LW game. (thanks to all the vets) I lurked for a long time and then finally got up enuff heart to order myself a 20inch yaki from Freedelee. NOW let me tell yall, I ordered it specifically for a newyears cruise I was taking with my friends. I wanted something i could swim with, so keeping that wig on my head was the foremost thing in my mind when it came to choosing a glue. I read that adhesive thread a hundred times. an evn though MANY women said ENDURABOND WAS NOT FOR NEWBIES, I figured I could handle it. I dont know what I was thinking BUT me and my cousin( who dont know a darn thing about hair) decided to put the wig on using SUPERTAPE and ENDURABOND. Now when I look back on that I wanna smack myself in the back of the head for being such a BIG DUMMY. that glue was sooo cacked up on my wig and skin, that it took the next two days for me to get that mess off!! I was PISSED, and then had a nerve to get mad at my cousin who didnt do nothing but try to help in the first place. (But I swear yall, the nape was supposed to be her job and it was a hot mess. She saw the videos on utube and how it was supposed to look. okay let me calm down) Anyway, Ive come a long way in just 4 short months and lord knows I'm NO pro. Ive looked fine in the bathroom mirror, but get in the car PLENTY of days, and look a mess Why oh why is the SUNLIGHT sooo unforgiving.

Oh Oh Ladies I have to tell my story, I will be the first to say my first LFW and App was a hot a very hot mess. So my hair client was talking about LFW and I started to do my research for about 1 mon. Anyway I ordered my unit and After a very long wait I get a Blonde wig (hot mess) to light for me and to top it off it was too damn small. But I was determine to make it work after all my studing I was gonna get that bad boy on humm for $300 It was going on. So I did get it on my forehead not my hairline lol. I kept looking in the mirror hummm somethings not right here.... So I go the the nail shop thinking I look good and some folk are looking at my hair all crazy. That was it I took that thing off and cried all evening. I ended up buying another unit from Denovo I'll just say thank God I found BHM and CV.

The first thing I did was try the unit on ... it looked great, so I started cutting the lace as close as I could get to the baby hairs.
I used ORWG and Hollister all around the perimeter of my head ... like three coats of each. I also put blue liner tape all around the wig. I was determined that this joker wasn’t going to go anywhere for a while.
I carefully lined up the front of the unit and got that glued down. Baby hairs were plastered all over my face, but I thought I was cute like Chilli from TLC.
Went I went to lay the sides down, guess what!? …. it didn’t fit behind my ears … too short!! When I would get one side to stay down, the other side would pop up and vice versa. I had tape all up in my hair and glue all behind my ears. I tried tying the wig down with a scarf, but when I removed it, my ears were stuck to my head. I had to use alcohol to loosen them.
Later that week, I went to Walmart, bought invisible thread, and sewed that lace back onto the sides. It was a mess.
My unit was too small. I tried using tape and got a wrinkled disaster. Than i tried ORWG. And that was another mess. I took the unit off and replied so many times that I irritated the mess out of my skin. It was all red, with small bumps, and sore.
I remember thinking LORD WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO. I left the alone for about two weeks (giving my face time to heal). Than I went back at it. Luckily in between that time I found BHM. So I got MUCH NEEDED HELP.
I LOVE LF now and cant see myself every wearing a full sew in. I might do a lace frontal. But I really doubt that.

OMG what a MESS!! I waited a whole 45 days to get my custom unit. In between I read every newbie thread there was on BHM. I hung on to Sexi's words like they were law! copying pages of information. Gather all my supplies and waited for the perfect time when I was alone. I just knew I would be on point with my app.! Well, somewhere I missed the section on Hollisters Medical Adhesive and your face! I had glue on every surface in my bathroom including the walls! Let me tell you Hollisters is no joke! My pursian cat will testify to that. By the end of my application, the unit was in the closet and my poor cat was bald! I had to have her shaved!

My bathroom was an covered in ultahold webs. It was a mess. I had glue EVERYWHERE and yall know I used that big ass brush that came with it. I was a hot mess literally.....It was the dead heat of summer. But when you enjoy something you master it and I love being cute!
My first app was with ultrahold also . That was a hot mess. Oh what a tangled web did I weave. I never used that mess again it was everywhere. Got a hold of some ORWG, supertape, and blue liner and no more problems. But I must say I didn't do to bad on my first app. But I am still a newbie because I have only applied my unit about 7 times. But I have gotten much better. Crap my unit looked better on the first app than this chick I saw in the store. She looked like cousin IT. She was like I apply my own and I do others. I was like HECK TO DA NAW you wouldn't touch my head.
