Thanks so much ladies for the replies.  One of my braids seem a little to tight but other than that my scalp does not hurt.  It just itches which I'm guessing is pretty normal??  Hopefully that doesn't lead to hair loss - well the fact that one of my braids is a little uncomfortable.  I get so paranoid that I want to just take them off since I'm so scared of tons of hair loss!!

you will not experience damage if the sew in is done correctly...you need to make sure whoever is installing it is experienced with your particular type of hair and knows not to braid too tight (too tight tension can lead to hairloss)...

i knew of a young lady who had someone install tracks in her hair..she had fine hair and the person installing it braided it soo tight that it was hurting and the area was inflammed...when the lady took the track out she had a scab....

so yes it can be damaging if someone does not know what they're doing but if done correctly it is one of the safest and healthiest methods for your hair

This is the ONLY method I've ever worn and I've had NOTHING but good luck with it.. No damage, and nothing but healthy hair when I take it down.. As with any method, finding the right stylist is the key to success..

Has anyone experienced major damage with sew in extensions?  I figured this would be the better method for me since I feel anything with glue or rings would damage it more.  Any opinions would be great!
