when i talk about glue causing damage...i'm talking about the black glue that a lot of ladies use for bonding....i've done tracks on clients using liquid gold (hate the smell)...but what i find is that if you're not big on taking care of the hair and think that the extensions will take care of themselves or wear them back to back with not so much as a breather in between then yes glue can cause damage as I have seen this firsthand...

.....
but my own personal preference..i do not like glue and if someone is installing hair for protective/growth there are other options

This makes total sense! I know what you mean. I have heard the black glue is lethal to hair, but again, I guess everyone is different.

Thank goodness for options!!! I think sew-ins are great; I wish I could learn a way to do them on my own head without the braiding. Then again, it may be too much of a hassle to re-do a sew-in every 4 weeks. I'm too lazy for all that!!!LOL
Love clip-ins and tape!
