Hi. There is a company called LUSH who do a beautiful shampoo for grey hair called Daddyo. It's vibrant purple and smells of violets. You can find it on their website here: www.lush.co.uk
My hair is 90% white.... I have used the `bluing` shampoos but with repeated used and well water it eventually looks green! I have tried Aveda Clarifieng Shampoo and it helps but not thrilled with the color. Loreal Grey Chic works fine ...but then the well water still adds yellow or dull tones to it!
I am wondering about the New Henna Silver products? I want something to clear off the dull yellow of white hair!
Any suggestions?

I think gray hair can be quite beautiful. I have a client that has 60% silver hair. When I do a French braid, the contrast of intertwining colors is really stunning. There ways to strip the pigment from your dark hair but you really should consult a specialist since great damage can be done. As for caring for gray hair, a careful home regimen will keep hair healthy and supple. To counteract the hair`s tendency to turn yellow, I recommend violet-hued color-enhancing shampoos. For extra contrast, you might consider lowlights. The opposite of highlights, they emphasize silver and gray by darkening select strands of hair. Here are some violet-hued color-enhancing shampoos and conditioners. They work to fight brassiness and eliminate yellow undertones in gray hair. ARTec Color Depositing Shampoo and Moisturizers in White Violet (shampoo &moisturizer), Art Luna Hair America Healthy Hilights Highlights Enhancing Shampoo, Clairol Shimmer Lights Color-Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner, Aveda Blue Malva Color Shampoo and Conditioner, Paul Mitchell Color Shampoo in Platinum Blonde, Redken Shades EQ Color Enhancing Shampoo in Platinum Ice, and the one I use the most, Sterling Solutions Silver Bright Volumizing Shampoo, Clarifying Shampoo, or Shampoo/Conditioner in One. Gray hair tends to be more brittle and have less shine than hair with more pigment. A reconstructor or deep moisturizer will help strengthen and revive gray hair. Here are some deep conditioners/shine enhancers you might want to try: Bumble & Bumble Styling Lotion, (protects hair from blow dryer heat), KMS Color Vitality Reconstructor, L`Oreal Color Vive Leave-In Shine Infuser, Pantene Pro-V Color Intensive Care Masque, and TeraGloss Instant REstorer for Damaged Hair. One interesting new product is L`Oreal Gray Chic. This is a semi-permanent hair color that helps brighten up gray hair. Gray chic, which lasts up to 28 shampoos, costs about $8.99 and comes in seven shades of gray. Good luck and I hope you continue to love your hair!!!
I am 40 years old and have been "growing" grey since age 25. I am now fully white haired, with locks and loving it. My question is not to reverse it but to ask what it is I can do to get the hairline (front) to be gray as it is still black in some spots and I don`t want it to be black and to find out how I can keep the grey colour bright. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you
