a new adhesive that will stay for a full week, I am back to Micro's.
 
Yes ladies I put my Micros in and took off my LF.  I am so disappointed in my skin right now!  Nothing is working past 2 days or a night of sweating. lol
 
I have tried Davlyn with ORWG and nothing is working.
 
My Davlyn and Bluline work like a champ but do not want to put it in the front.
 
Do yall think that maybe my bottles of ORWG are just bad!  I alcohol down real good too!
 
Any suggestions on what I could try would be great!  I will leave my Micro's in for about 2 weeks. Or less depending on how I feel.
 
I already miss my KS baby! Please help ladies!
 
Have yall ever experienced glue to stop working? This is so horrible!

Are you cleaning your skin thouroughly and applying it to skin only, no hair at all?
 
I have great hold (about a week) with one layer of ORWG and one layer of no tape in the front.
 
For the nape I use no tape and super tape. 
 
I hope this helps you out a little.

I just ordered some No tape and I will try it in front with ORWG!
 
Which do you put on your skin first, the No tape. or the ORWG?
 
And yes! I clean thoroughly!

I place the ORWG on first, let dry and the no tape 2nd.

ORWG works but i cannot stand the damned "boogers" its ludiocrous.  Hone...I fell u. I had to sew my weave back in.  It's so much easier to just wrap at night and go.  U dont have to worry about lifting, etc.  Take some time and then go back to it.  Thats what i did and now my skills have IMPROVED.

ORWG never worked for me. I could only get a 1 or 2 day hold. I hate that stuff. I gave mine away. It may just be your body chemistry.

The only change I have made is I put the leave in moisturizer on my natural hair and I wonder if these oils are messing me up!  This is the only change I have made!

ORWG, Spirit gum, Ultrhold - none of these ever worked for me either. I like Davyln in the front of my hair when I wear curly styles that I wet often. Ms Lola's is ok, if you want a 1 to 2 day hold, but overall I don't care for it.
 
The best thing for me is the tape that says "lacefront" on it. That tape reallyholds. I got it from ladydi at http://stores.ladydislocks.com.

Lisa I've previously seen threads where other ladies have had this same problem with their tried and true tapes and adhesives no longer working. It could be that your body chemistry is just changing so now it's time to experiment with new ones. It could also be that your new hair oil is breaking down that bond really fast.

yep i found my chemistry must have changed so i had to change too.. use to be that pro flex was the tape for me, but now its not.. and supertape didn't use to stick to me, but now it does.. i think its necessary to switch it up every now and then.. adhesives included in the switch.. that's why i got a little bit of everything..

I workout and sweat like crazy. I have been wearing Lf's for about 4 years now, and the tapes still work for me.  Thank God!! I use tape and davlin for my nape area, the trick to your nape area is to applie it up above the crease in your neck. if you hold your head down as far as it will go, apply the tapes/glue right above and right below your hairline or the crease in your neck.  It works!!!

I have never tried tape in the front but after listening to many of you I must try.
 
I am going to try my Blueliner tape in front and use the tip to conseal the shine.
 
Im thinking if I put some powder under the tape it will prevent the shine. I dunno, but will try.

Hi, LovelyLisa... I hope you haven't given up, yet. Here's a link to a picture I took this morning (at my desk) of my 3-day app w/Proflex No Shine Tape + Vapon No Tape. I use Sexibeach's bare minerals tip for my part (I didn't do the steri strip this time).

Thank you for the pic, but I took out my Micros after 2 days and now I tried again, but this time I am using Bluliner in nape and Blueliner in front, but not where I part.
 
This is day  2 and no lifting yet.  I used ORWG first and then put on the tape.  This Lf ain't movin.

That's great news! Smile I've used ORWG before and it's good. It holds well in the winter, but not as long in the summer. So, I decided to test the PF+NT combo for my summer hold. So far (under simulation heat) it's very good.

I will keep that in mind! I think I will use the scarf method when in the heat! They got some really cut scarves out too!
