Geek  it's not really an explosion of these caps poppin up because mono caps have been around for years.

mono tops are really pretty good but i've tried the whole unit as mono.. they are good b/c there's no need for wig caps with them, but i would be concerned about skin color matching..

I'm a little leery of this cap, too. My concern are:
1) silk tones may be difficult to match actual skin tones
2) many of the techniques I've learned to restore, clean or maintain the hair will breakdown the cap
3) it may not "breathe" like lace

have you all noticed that there has been an explosion of these type of units and/or bases for wigs?  i just don't feel as though they look right, when it comes down to the scalp area. this is a picture that i saw on ebay, and it just doesn't look right to me.
 
 
how do you feel about it?
