In the current issue of People magazine, Kate Hudson is asked if she would ever alter her appearance for a role. She said she is thinking of cutting her hair very short for her next role, but also says that she might just wear a wig.

IMDB says she's gonna be in a movie called "Big Eyes" which is about the artist Margaret Keane who is known for her paintings of waifs with big eyes, hence the name of the film.  All the pictures that I could find of Margaret Keane showed her with short curly hair.

well she has definately sported the curls in the past. Cant imagine they would let her look anything less than radiant in a major movie

Not sure if really short hair would suit her, she probably would look better with something about chin length or so.
