finally i decided to install my hair with microrings after i heart soo much good things about them.
i got the silicone lined microrings and really love the style. only problem i loose a lots of strands. all of them seem to loose the silicon ring first and then of course slip out beacuse they dont have enough hair in it.
is there anything we did wrong when we closed the rings? it seems that the silicon ring slipped slightly out at the top of most of them.
i dont mind reinstall them again, but would like to know what can i do better next time? any ideas? should i better use the rings without the silicone? whats the different?
I use the sillicone lined rings quite a bit in my business and almost never have a problem. When you close the ring down, sometimes the sillicone will squish a little bit out of the ring, but I don't see anyway it can come out completely if it is crimped down tightly.
Sometimes the hook you use to install the ring may displace the sillicone lining as you are threading it onto the hair. This problem can be avoided if you use a hook that is small enought to fit into the ring.
Most common reason any type of ring slips is if a ring is too big, meaning that after the natural hair and the hair tip was inserted it did not have a tight fit. If the rings don't have a tight fit, they will be prone to slipping.
Also when the rings are crimped down, you must crimp then with a good amount of pressure.

think we will give it a try again this weekend. i lost aroudn 15 strands, still looks good just hope i dont loose any more.
