Today at the BSS

Now it was storming today in Delaware so I have my lf pulled up in a high ponytail.  The texture and length are really close to my own, so most people inluding my mom have not caught on.  So anyway, she comes out to ring up my stuff, and she's staring really really hard.  At first she said"Is that all..."  but she didn't finish.....So I'm waiting for her to give me a bag, and she finally says"What kind of hair is that?"  I told her it was a lf, and she got really quiet.  See last year I had asked her if she would start selling lace and/or mono wigs, and at the time she didn't , but one day she told me to come to the back of the store because she had some.  Well "some" turned out to be a wig with wefts sewn on black lace.  It reminded me of lace gloves?  Does that make sense? I had to tell her no thank you...

Anyway...I'm rambling. 

She asked me what did I spend for it, and I told her under 200 dollars, s/h included.  She was puzzled.... She said that's not possible.  I told her yes it was.  She said"Where did it come from?"  I said directly from China.  I swear her face dropped.  Everything about her changed...her tone, her demeanor...everything.  It was like the longest checkout I ever experienced.  Usually she's all chatty, but this time I barely gotta have a nice weekend out of her!

Just thought I'd share that with everyone.

I'll bet your friend did look crazy.  I know my ponytail was sticking in every direction but the right one by the time I got home

I was like"Shhh, you know these nosey neighbors are probably listenin"

LMAO!

 Now if I can just get the nerve to attempt to bleach my knots some more I'd be straight!  Right now I just use some foundation if I wear a part.

 

 

Sky, what a great story!! I was laughing so hard. I know that BSS owner must have been enraged.  Oh well, after learning about the Korean monopolies and tightly-knit business practices, I can't really say I feel sorry for her. Actually, I feel avenged by your experience. LOL!!

 

That is too funny mujersexyc!!  I told BHM a while ago about going to a local BSS and they were selling lace wigs.  They weren't bad actually and they do mold of your hairline to get your wig made.  The price is what killed me, starting at $600.00.  I went in wearing a light yaki #4 unit, application was on.  I asked how much their wigs were, they told me $600.00 and I started to walk away.  The lady called me back and said, How do you know they cost too much when you don't wear wigs.  I told her I was wearing a wig right then and there and that I only paid $189.00 for it.  (I left out the shipping cost on purpose).  She asked me where was I getting them from, I said probably the same place you are, China, and I'm paying the same price or less than you.  It felt good to see her mouth open when I walked away.  Like someone else stated earlier in this post, I somehow felt vindicated even though it's the Koreans that have us locked out.
