I can apply my lf almost perfect to the front and sides but when it comes to the back I am screwed. I don't know if it is placement issues or the adhesives just are not the right combo for me.
I have been using Miss Lola's cream adhesive ait proflex no shine on templs. Proflex on the nape even the sides of my nape coupled with 2 layers of MLCA and extendabond tape on the lace.
All of the adhesives will stick to my skin and the lace but by the end of day 2 all of my tape and adhesive is stuck on my and not the lace. I am getting discouraged about my nape and I want to be able to get this hair ohh of my dern neck.
Yes, the lace was cleaned before the application process. But I do not understand why it wont stick. HELP. when this happens it makes me want to take the whole dang thing off and start again, that aint happening right now. I am supposed to leave and go to NC to be with my fiance for the weekend. Right now I am walking around with a scarf tired around my head just in case a swift breeze blows through and decides it wants to show my nape.
1. After you place the tape on the lace go over it with a not too hot flat iron. This activates the glue and makes it grip hold to the lace. If it is too hot the glue make seep thru onto the hair. When it cools i remove the backing from the tape and apply the unit.
2. You can also apply a layer of adhesive to the tape before you place the tape on the lace. I apply vapon to the tape using a paint brush let it dry for at least 10 to 15 minutes and then apply it to my unit. If I can I let this sit overnight.... if you don't have time then just wait about 15 minutes while pressing on the tape to make sure that the tape remain on the lace.
Next remove the the strips from the tape and add a layer of vapon or the adhesive of your choice and let dry. Usually while this is drying i'm applyin the adhesive to my skin. Then I apply the unit.

Also, make sure you have thoroughly cleaned your nape with 99% alcohol before applying your unit, and if the glue/tape is going over any hair on your nape, make sure that is free of hair products. I generally try to be careful with not putting too many products on the back section of my hair near my nape and after I finish braiding up my hair, I go over that section with 99% alcohol. I was having the same problem as you, the products in my hair were making it impossible for the tape and glues to hold
