i used to use honey on my face for a moisture pack once a week....never thought of putting it into shampoo....neat little tip.  i like it.  honey is a natural moisturizer......someone told me that if you put cold pressed safflower oil into your hair (they call it hair oiling) that it adds shine and draws moisture from the air....don't know if it's true or not.

For me, hair sprays and glosses dont work AT ALL! They have chemicals in them that put the shine away for good.

Just add a button size amount of honey in your shampoo twice a week and slowly- but surely, your hair will start to pick up on its natural shine!

i have done lots of color glossing....it can be fantastic.....you can also use a demi or semi perm color to  add gloss, depending on what product you use....i have been using schwartzkopf colors and they provide such shine....they have this igora toning mousse, look that up on the internet, and it is a fabulous product.  it deposits color, conditions and gives off a shine that is unbelieveable.

Hey Calliesue; I've READ that Cellophanes by Sebastian is a great glossing treatment. Also using the clear in Redken Shades EQ supposedly acts like a gloss, as does Color Sync (matix). What I do for shine treatments is first, to use a protein treatment, then moisture treatment that includes a color conditioner (violet for blonde). You'll find that the colour condiitoners will deposit nice colour and leave your hair with shine. HTH!
Love clip-ins and tape!

Yes, I have used them and yes they do make a difference. I used John Freda, red colour gloss for when I had red coloured hair.

Has anyone tried hair glossing and how well did it work?  I'm 59 and trying to grow my hair longer.  It is colored, but dull.  Wanted to try the hair glossing.  ThanksSmile
