Hi all! I hope someone can give me some advice. I have decided to grow my hair longer for the first time ever (having always had shorter styles up until now). I want a really messy, shaggy surfer style. I have grown my hair almost as long as I want it, so it comes down about 3/4 of the way over my ears at the sides, almost down to my eyebrows at the front (and swept over to one side) and down the back of my neck a bit and it curls up at the ends, which I think is quite cute
The problem is that my hair is so thick that I have to use copious amounts of putty to keep it in place, and as soon as I touch it to scratch my head or the wind blows, it puffs up. By the end of the day my sleek surfer hair has turned in to a fluffball.
Is there anything I can do about this? It would be great if I didn't have to glue it down so much and if it wasn't so prone to going fluffy.
