QuoteReplyTopic: Pre-tipping Questions Posted: December 16 2008 at 10:12pm
Okay, so keep in mind this is my first attempt at pre-tipping.... I bought the fusion bond, melted it, but every tip I tried to mold ended up flat despite rolling it. The bond seemed to set really quick. Could this be a temperature problem? What temp do you normal melt at? Or do i need to buy the wand to melt the tip into the shape? Or is my fusion bond junky? THanks in advance for the help!

It sounds like the glue isnt hot enough when you are rolling. You need to roll the bond while the glue is still very hot. Be careful not to burn your fingers. A set of finger cots comes in handy for pretipping.
If the glue is thoroughly melted & liquified then it should be hot enough. But some glue/keratin dont melt well in a glue pot. The clear grains/pellets require a higher temp and a glue pot may not work as well.
