QuoteReplyTopic: From RED to BLONDE... Posted: December 22 2008 at 8:45pm
Hi,
I'm new at this forum and have found a lot of great info.
I am currently a medium auburn color and would like to go blonde. I have a couple of questions:
1. Which blonde do you think would look better??? I have never been blonde, I've had highlights, but that's it.
2. I lost my job a few months ago and must do this at home. Suggestions?
Below is my current color. I had blonde highlights by the way up to 2 months ago when I decided to go red and now I regret it..I don't really want highlights, but blonde, just not sure which blonde.
thanks in advance.

Red is really hard to remove. Use the one and only colorfix first and see what color is left. Then bleach from there. Good luck.
If it were my hair I'd wait until the red fades from the bleached highlights then use colofix on those only--then tone them. I'd let the red grow out and gradually add highlights only onto the new growth. Eventually you will get blonde all over.
Oh and I think a warm blonde would look nice on you.

I agree with Rebekah. Red will be difficult to remove and will leave behind orangey tinge even after you remove the red color. Just be patient when you do the bleaching process. Warm blonde, I would say, is either golden or beige blonde or in between. Cool blonde would be ashy or possibly neutral, depending on the base. I think honey blonde will look good on you since you seemed to have warm toned skin.
