My dark brown hair is down past my buttocks, but I like to wear it up for special occasions and on hot days. I had alot of stragglies, I guess you could call them, that are irregular in length and stick out at my neckline while the rest of my hair is up. Yesterday morning when my husband was shaving, I noticed he took his razor and shaved the burrs on the back of his neck below the finished haircut so they would not look scruffy. I mentioned to him, it was too bad I couldn`t do that with my stragglies. He said, why not? Well, I didn`t have a reason why I couldn`t and asked him if he would do it for me. Well I wrapped all my hair up on top of my head, he put a towel over my shoulders, lathered my neck and cleaned up my neckline quite nicely. Does anyone else do this too? It seemed kind of weird to me at first, but the results were good.
I`ve not done this but my college roommate does. I admit it sounded weird the first time she said "Oh, gotta go shave my neck," but she likes the clean look. According to her, the only drawback is having to shave it often to avoid the spikey little stubble.

Ive seen this done many times. It keeps the neck looking nice without all the fuzzy hair on it. Its easy to keep it up with just a small trimmer. You can also have it done at a salon or barbershop for next to nothing.
