The type of remover you use, depends on the type of adhesive you used to apply the seamless skin wefts.  I find that Pure Adhesive Remover dissolves all the adhesives I have used on hair extensions and seamless wefts such as super tape, liquid gold glue, and secure adhesive.  Here is a picture of it.

I've done it so I can help you here...

You can buy 100% pure acetone at Sally's or any bss store. Check the nail care section.

You can dab it in with a cotton ball or use an oral syringe to squirt it between the layers.

You will notice the skins peel off your hair without the adhesive, but the adhesive will still be stuck to your hair. The EASIEST way for me to be able to comb out the adhesive residue is by spraying on some C-22 Citrus remover, let it set for a couple of minutes and the adhesive will "globby-up" and be combable.

I used LG only between my skins and found this to be the quickest and most painless removal.

THanks!  Since you are exp with skins I have to ask if you always use the tape?  I wanted this to be "seamless" but my dresser used the tape and it is bulky and lumpy.  My hair is so thin from damage and loss.  That is why I chose the skins.  Have you ever tried with just adding glue to the PU skins and then applying?

And IYO what is the easiest extension method to do yourself?  I mean I was going to have my sister do mine and me hers.  Which one should we learn?  I'm good with hair and I know I can catch on to about anything.

I used the skins with Liquid Gold. Make sure the skins are no longer than 4" wide otherwise it gets a little difficult to work with. And I use one of those long duckbill clips attached right underneath the skin part so the skin doesn't "curl" back before I apply it. I hold the bottom skin glue facing up lined up with my part, place a thin layer of hair over the glued part then place my second (sandwiching) skin over it, lining up the pieces. The LG keeps the pieces as flat as possible.

The easiest method is the skins or wefts. Tapes are the easiest, but I find the LG glue much more comfortable. For strands, I prefer Tembond manemaxx because it really doesn't produce damage. The only issue is that you can't blast the bonds with a hot tool...they'll come off.

Most damage occurs from removal. If the stylist is pulling your hair out during removal, you WILL have damage. If you do it yourself, you may be more gentle because it's YOUR hair.

Well they put in tape as well as the glue.  Can I still remove them myself?  How the heck to you see what you are doing from the back?

And I am so glad you told me about the Manemaxx!  Sounds like good hair (as opposed to the tangly crapy I have now)

The salon that I had put my seamless in put some pieces too high and they would show.  I mean way up on top.  I have thin hair and short layers.  Of course it would show.  so I went back and asked them to move them and they charged me $75!!  It was their mistake!  I have spent so much on hair that does not even look that good.

I really hope this manemaxx works out.

And I hope i can get these seamless tape and glue out!  Any videos out there to show me?  I need illustration sometimes.  Or can I direct my husband to do the back?  I cannot pay any more $$$

Thanks

If you use a solvent ( C-22 Citrus Solvent) you should have no problem getting them out! Good Luck!sunny
