Okay so I will be using matrix v light i have not had to use a toner
in the past this stuff works great. my girlfriend who has previously
bleached my roots is going to do it again for me cause it's so much
easier that way. the problem i am having is in the front my hair keeps
breaking off on the one side mostly. i dont know why and this has
started happening with in the last 2-3 months however i havent bleached
in over 3 months nor have i had extensions in for about almost 4
months. i do use 40 vol no heat for 45 min. but do you think i should
apply the bleach to the front much later so it only sits on my hair for
a shorter time or should i use a lower volume. and if i were to use a
toner what is a good toner from matrix? here are some pic of how long
my roots are and where my hair keeps breaking.
oh one last thing has anyone ever heard or used a product called "It's
a Ten" mirical conditioner in a purple contaner? this stuff is amazing
but i dont know why. maybe someone has some input on that.
thanks for all your help i dont know what to do sometimes lol

Purple will cancel out any yellow tones. No sure why your hair is breaking off there. Just be very careful to not overlap the bleach, that will cause breakage. I'd use 20 vol peroxide with the bleach and just be patient. It's gentler than 40 vol.
Hope this helps.

PS Pretty color, both the roots and the bleached ends

well i have a purple shampoo and conditioner that shimmers stuff from sally's that they sell in the grocery store now works tooooooo good. Is is HARD to bleach roots OFF the scalp? cause i love my hair but after i get it bleached i have to wait like 2 weeks for my hair to grow out a tad before it looks good to me. my hair dresser just says its easier but its not like i pay her a ton of money she only does my hair on the side. and what about "IT'S A TEN" conditioner i love this stuff its $30 for a small thing has anyone used it? just curious why it works soooooooooo good.

Your natural hair color is way too light to be using a 40 volume developer. Especially if you're leaving it on as long as 45 minutes at a time! You shouldn't leave bleach on your hair any longer than 25-30 minutes in my opinion.
I used to bleach my hair and my natural color is just like yours. Stick with a 20 volume developer. You'll be suprised how well it works.
It also looks like you might flat iron your hair. If you do, I would avoid using it on that area of your hair that's breaking off. I would just use your blow dryer on low heat and a big round brush on that area to get it straight. It might take a little bit more time getting it perfectly straight, but if you don't want your hair to break off to your roots, I would try doing this.
Also, I would try washing and rinsing your hair at a cooler temperature. It's always best to wash and rinse in cooler water, as it prevents breakage or any other damage.
Hope that helped. Good luck. I'm just getting out of the lovely world of hair bleaching and have finally had a professional bring me back to my natural color. I am DONE DONE DONE with bleaching, or any dye for that matter for a very long time.

Thanks lovehermadly i have thought long and hard about just letting my natural hair grow back i mean i'm still blond just not as light. however i have had probably 5 different professionals bleach my hair and all of them claim to be good at it and have done it to tons of people well i paid a lot of money so i hoped they new what they were doing. however when they were done putting me under the dryer and they used 20 vol. i had YELLOW hair not orange not blond or white YELLOW and i couldnt stand it. now i use to do my girlfriends hair and some relatives and when i highlighted blond in there hair i used 40 vol no heat. it always came out perfect. so i finally found my hair dresser in florida used matrix v light 40 vol. no heat for about 30-40 min. came out with no yellow. but i think a lot of the problem i am having also with breakage is the dry weather here i will soon be back in florida where its super humid and i have been using the flat iron on it but at the lowest heat. i will stop that. i admit i wash my hair is a hot shower i hate cold but i will stop that too and i already blow dry my hair on a low heat. maybe i will just do a ton of highlights instead of bleaching all of my hair i dont know what to do anymore. thanks again chick your info did help a lot

When I was trying to grow out my bleached hair, I tried the highlights thing, but was just disappointed. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I like even results everywhere. If you use the 20 volume developer and get a yellow color, just get a product that takes out brassiness and you'll be suprised how well it works without damaging your hair. I forget the name of the one I used, but it was about the consistency of shampoo and was a violet color. I bought it from Sally's and it was great. Then again, going to your natural color is the easiest way out. I'm so glad I finally got a professional to do it for me. My color is really hard to match, but the woman I went to mixed 2 different color together and got the color pretty dead on. I'm very happy with it.

well i got a 30 vol only because i know how well my hair takes so i also got a matrix toner called grape smells really good actually. so we will see. i dont want to go back to a dark blond especially with summer here. to be honest i dont even know if i got all the stuff for the toner isnt there two things to mix together? i could call my stylist and ask but i hate to bother her all the time. plus i would rather get the stuff myself rather than deal with her getting it. so hopefully next week i will get my hair done and we will see. For the record i love matrix because it has so much conditioner in it already. has anyone used purology deep conditioning in the green canaster? for $50.00 it better work good. lol I dont think i want to deal with highlights im a profectionist too and i dont think that would cut it for me. lol.
