I can't believe this.......this company stole pics from my website. I made the wefts and took the pics myself. I'm so pissed. Does anybody know if I have any recourse?

It looks like one is down but they still have the smaller thumbnails up. That's pretty much par for the course on the net Im afraid because people think they can do it and not face any repercussions.

Its especially rampant with hair extension websites or sites selling hair. Its gotten to the point where I wont bother looking at photos because you cant tell if they are legitimate or not or if what they send you will be that hair.

It reminds me of the lucious looking hamburger shown in the Wendy's commercial on TV and then you go order the same hamburger and you get a sweaty piece of wilted lettuce on a greasy bun.

Mokipono why did you not watermark your photos??

That's a freaking shame, I don't know how many times I've heard about someone's photos being stolen and being claimed as theirs and defrauding unaware people.

Does the BBB apply to online sites selling products & services? If so, I'd contact them to see what you or they could do.

IA with the watermarking, I don't put up much pics online and those I do, I try to watermark everything.

People like that take the fun out of sharing photos.

I usually watermark my photos. On my website they have our name right through the hair:   http://hawaiianhairextensions.com/_wsn/page6.html
I looked up the poaching domain name on whois.....I got her name and phone number!!!!!
Now I know how to contact her I'm feeling a bit better about controlling my site & pics.
Instead of calling her I put her slide show on my site with our name clearly showing.
I'm not as angry as I was. I should try to take it as a compliment and move on.
I would like her to put my name somewhere as "submitting editor" or something like that, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Contact her hosting company.. Explain the issue, they will usually make her take the content down..

I agree contact the host and  explain whats going on.. they had ppl doing this to youtube videos like a week ago and that is how alot of them got removed well that and  alot of us complained. good luck.
