Am still thinking but check this out... http://www.pravana.com/colorcert/colorist_directory/directory.php pick one of these & ask. It is a holiday but they may respond & offer suggestions  I would do it if it were me just so other types of color do not react in an ODD murky way & for the safety, integrity of your hair...

Before I did my hair violet it was Pravana magenta, & I when I bleached it out the magenta turned a neon flamingo pink & my regrowth was a 10 (I'm a natural 7).  I've had the violet for about 2 weeks & have some regrowth but I definitely want to cover the violet with a medium to dark brown... & I don't want it to be a purply brown.  I'd like for it to be around a level 4, but since the violet is already pretty dark, I'm thinking I might have to stick with the 2-3 range.  The Pravana stays in like crazy - when I had the magenta it was in there for over a month & it barely faded at all!  I love the violet, but it is the biggest mess I've ever had to deal with in my life, & the color just doesn't make up for the amount of house cleaning I have to do :P Thanks for your help.  Let me know if you have any further advice.
thanks.

Firstly! I remember you cannot remove chromosilk vivids with bleach!@!!!!! nor can they be lifted with pravana extractor so despite using the pravana clarifying shampoo I wouldn't think it would lift! ConfusedI think the violet needed to be bleached to only 7 so if you did it to 10 did it turn out "lighter" or the purple level 3 type looking.  What colors of the shades eq are you liking? I haven't tried to cover over purple b4 but the TITANIUM series looks rocking!!!! (not that you have to use that as it will likely just glaze it or create shine)Hehe you can always do a strand test or a few... Maybe pick a color you WILL LOVE for the regrowth:? is there regrowth yet. I have no idea if the pravana really lasts 10 weeks or what the purple fades to yet...  Do you have the ingredients list of the pravana violet? Sometimes that gives clues as to what it will fade to.  Some turn pink!

Hi!

My hair's currently violet (bleached out to a 10 first & then colored w/Pravana chromasilk vivids).  I like the color but it's the biggest mess ever & I'm tired of scrubbing stains off my shower & sink every day.  So I plan on washing it until it stops coming out & then going over it with a gold-based medium-dark brown.  So here's my question:  I want to completely cover the violet with the brown.  Do I need to use an advanced coverage/double-pigmented formula?  Also, do you think I need to do a bleach wash on the violet before trying to color it again?  My hair's been bleached to oblivion, so I was hoping to avoid this step.  However, it's only a few inches long on top & it's cropped super-close in back & on sides.  Please help!  I'd love to just go over it with a demi perm like Shades EQ, but I don't know if this would cover anything.

Thanks!
thanks.
