I decided to just go back to my natural hair color, I've been coloring/highlighting/bleaching my hair for 14 years and it never comes out right even if I spend tons of money to have it done at a salon and I don't understand why cause my natural hair is a level 7 maybe a 6 and I have pale skin with pink and red undertones and green eyes so I know I can't have alot of red in my natural hair but idk maybe I do. But I went to Sally's and talked to a cosmetologist and she helped a lot with my hair but it still has a lot of different colors in it like the roots are a golden brown/blonde and some of it is really dark and some of it is still blonde and idk if it's still blonde because that's the way the hair color just is or I did not dye it all or if I ended up washing some of the dye out when I showered or it did not take. This is the colored I used from Sally's http://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-color/SBS-800737,default,pd.html 8NW Light Natural, it's a really pretty color and I only used a 10% developer and I also used a protien filler.

If your level 7 medium blonde is previous colour the only way to get your hair all blonde is to use bleach. I wouldn't advice an all over application, but get a friend (if you cant afford salon) to do a full head foils but on the already hi lighted area only apply the bleach to any new root re-growth. There is a purple shampoo you can buy to cool down any warmth in your hair caused by bleaching, its called Schwartzkopf silver shampoo and you can use it just like any shampoo. It is purple in colour and you use it like any other shampoo only on for a few minutes. You can but this at Sally's, and use this after your foil application.
Or if you decided to go back to your level 7 then you wouldn't use a red filler, but a copper, you can use a coloured mousse for this purpose also. You only use the red if you are trying to achieve depth of 4/5 medium to light brown. After you use a filler you then apply your target shade as normal.
Good luck, Karen.

Ok so I usually have my level 7 dark blonde hair highlighted and I went to my salon and decided to just have it all colored blonde because they don't do on the scalp bleaching but I told my stylist that anytime I've ever tried to dye my hair blonde that it always turns kinda gold so she used an ash based toner just in case but the roots still ended up turning kinda gold but the ends came out darker like an ash blonde and she only left it on my ends for five minutes and I did not relize this at the time but some of my hair at the bottom is also brown from not being highlighted previously so I'm walking around with a bunch of different colors in my hair. So I'm wanting to know how to go all light blonde with no gold or ash in it because the ash makes it look grey, do I need to bleach it? I was told to use an ash toner but I'm scared that that will just make the ends worse or if I can't bleach it or find an easy solutoin to this then how do I go back to my natural hair color of dark blonde level 7? I heard that I would have to put the red back into it and maybe use a filler then add the color I want to it but I need to make sure I don't want to mess up my hair any more I've already spent over $100.00 on one bad dye job and I also don't want to damage my hair cause I've been trying to grow it out long. Sorry for being so long and I really appreciate any help and advice!
Thanks,
Crystal
