I`ll also use a serum/gel combo on wet hair, but sometimes I`ll put in a drop or two of eucalyptus oil, which smells great. If I then let my hair air dry, it wont get poofy afterwards.
I have a friend who uses JF frizz ease. She had really oily hair at the top, which is dry at the bottom. She always gets it on her scalp so her hair gets disgustingly oily but I don;t say anything. Anyway, it helps the bottom of her hair alot, when she does it right. I used JF Wind Down. His products seem to work. i mean my hair works really well with silicons (ive been using them since I was 9, they cause no problems) so yeah. Wind Down is good BTW to anyone with wavs. i have slightly wavy hair that gets qite wavy in the back, and I put the junk in and combed it through (didn`t blow dry... i hate blowdryers... So.... GIRLY. ugh) and its perfectly straight. go john!
I always heat style my hair if I`m going to wear it straight--it is naturally wavy and therefore I have to blow dry it while applying tension with a paddle brush. As for the heat actually helping the product work, I don`t have any objective way of measuring that, since the "look and feel" of hair are entirely subjective qualifiers. However many people say any indirect heat will help conditioners such as the silicone in Frizz Ease will help the shine agents bond to the hair shaft better. They could be right!

Nah. The ingredients that matter are silicone-derivatives such as cyclomethicone, phenyl trimethicone and dimethicone. They will coat the hair shaft well even if you don`t heat up after applying. :-)

I like using the serum mixed with my gel and put in my hair while it is still wet. That way when I blow dry it straight it is really smooth without being gross .
btw.....JF is coming out with an "extra strength" shampoo and conditioner, according to Judi in customer relations. Wonder how that will compare.... :-)
hummm i think it only works proper if u use a heat appliance afterwards...is tha right?
