styling cream

well, i have tried:
gel, hairspray, silicone serum, oil, etc. on my hair and the thing that seems to work the best for my dry, wavy, long hair is styling cream. right now i use john frieda frizz ease secret weapon cream but it says to only apply it to dry hair. i was wondering if there is a good styling cream that anyone knows about that i could also apply to damp hair? well, thanks for any info you can give me about styling cream!
