QuoteReplyTopic: Bleached hair 5 times/Toned 3 Posted: December 29 2009 at 6:53pm
I have dark brown hair, and in the past 2 months i've bleached my hair 5 times (blonde to brown to blonde again) and toned it 3 times. I'm trying to get it white :/
Right now its probably a golden blonde with some pale yellow here and there and just a tiny bit of white strands here and there. It's really damaged. Whenever I wash my hair its really stretchy.
I waited a month and toned my hair again today with Clairol light light platinum. It didn't really change much, just a tad bit lighter, and I accidentally got some on my roots and some of them are light brown.
What should I do next? Wait a little longer and use a different toner?

Im in the same boat, Im currently on a pale blonde. In dark lighting its a white with a tinge of yellow, but with light you can see the yellow pigments.
If your hair is that damaged, I'll lay off doing anytihng. Use leave in conditioners, hot oil etc untill its healthy again.

Go to Sally's beauty supply and get their deep conditioner for damaged hair. don't dye it anymore for A WHILE. if its stretchy its in seriously bad condition. or you can try putting olive oil on your hair and leaving it in for about 30 minutes and wash and rinse twice unless you want to smell like an olive. olive oil has healing nutrients in it that bring life back into your hair. its good for other things too not just salad dressing. i did the same thing your trying to do but when my hair got stretchy i gave up and just went red but i was coming from black. i used olive oil and the sally conditioner for a week to get my hair back plus i cut off alot of the damaged ends about a half inch. good luck to you. and remember the best way to bleach hair is to leave it to the pros.
