Has anyone heard of a new chemical treatment for straightening hair that is actually NOT bad for your hair?? I read about it in an english magazine about 2 months ago - it cost about £250 English pounds. I dont have the magazine and Im willing to travel over from Ireland if I can find out more about it!!!

I think you are talking about "thermal reconditioning" (sometimes called the Yuko System). Here are a couple of web sites to read about the procedure.

If these don`t answer your questions, please post them and we will try to help. ;)

You didn`t say how long your hair is, but I would be remiss if I didn`t mention another technique for straightening hair: use your head as a gigantic roller. I like using rollers to straighten hair because it produces very nice results and does not damage the hair.

The explanation is a little wordy so, if you are interested in the technique, here is a web site with photos:

Good luck! :)
