Honestly, I would classify this as an improvement by the barest (pun intended) of margins. Basically, it comes down to the fact that I absolutely hated her previous look, with the floppy length on top and buzzed sides. Especially when she curled it and had that weird plumage going on...
 
Give it a week for the shaved areas to fill in a bit, and I wouldn't imagine it looking too bad.

I don't care for it that much.
A woman should either shave her head and wear the bald look , assuming she has the features for the bald look, or wear a hairstyle. The partially shaved thing doesn't work that well.
She is pretty enough that she could probably wear the bald look well. So either she should do that, or grow out the sides of her hair and wear a pixie hairstyle.
