Hi everyone...I have been stalking this site for a while and just decided to ask my question since I can't find it in 200 pages of questions!!! I've had GL, SoCap, Racoon, and tape ins. I had MAJOR damage from the fusion which is why I went to the tape method to help camouflage the damage while I let it grow. It's been 4 years and I finally have a decent head of hair back but I can't get too much length b/c I highlight it really blonde. After recently having a baby my hair has majorly thinned out as well. My stylist does the Donna Bella i-link and is an educator for them. She swears up and down I will not get any damage at all and does them for her daughters and family members. I'm nervous to get back into extensions. I bleach my hair blonde and was thinking of doing 2 packs (~40 strands) in a highlight color just to test it out before I actually go for length and volume. Does anyone have any experience with this line they can share please. I'm really  hesitant. My hair is very fine and I do baby it and treat my extensions VERY well when I have them in. I love clip ins but they are such a PITA and time consuming to do everyday especially w/a baby!

Hi!  I'm not familiar with Donna Bella so can't offer advice on that brand in particular, but it sounds as if you're on the right track in trying a few as highlights first.  I've done the bleach and extensions route myself and found that I had to choose one or the other because the combination was very damaging to my fine hair.  I did the most damage with bleach so I changed colors...  I also tried the clip ins but like you I don't want to mess with them every day and I really just am not pleased with how they look on me once they're in.  I see MANY people whose look fantastic, but I prefer fusion.  I'd rather prefer clip ins because obviously they're less damaging, etc...

But...back to your concerns, lol, can your stylist have some of her other clients come in so you can see their installs and the condition of their hair?  Maybe seeing them and discussing their experiences will give you either the peace of mind to move forward, or information you need to decide it's not a risk you're willing to take.

Best of luck!
