I think you are right! I am looking into trying the bohyme silky straight seamless for my next install. I think I just need better placement and maybe making them a tad smaller

Angela, just to clarify, your seamless wefts might have been installed a tad too close to the hairline, which is why they were sticking out when you pulled you hair in a ponytail.

Whether you're going for individual bonds (keratin, rings, shrinkies) or tape (seamless or regular), what really is going to determines whether your extensions show or not is placement. And texture and color match of course.
When you do it yourself, you learn what works for you.
I wear my hair in a ponytail everyday to work out and I guarantee that my extensions (installed with tape + LG) don't show. But I don't wear a high ponytail, it is low. For some that might be bothersome.
Also when you do it yourself, you have greater control on the quality of hair being installed. Sometimes hair can be remy human hair and still not deliver. It be a ton better than crappy non remy hair, but will disapoint after a few weeks for example.
Tamica, I strongly recommend that you do a lot of research on your own, on hair extensions forum, like this one, then hairextensions101, then DIY.net.
It will help you narrow down what you might be interested in. Forums have a ton of infos, just look through older posts.
I really like a combo of Liquid Gold and tape (supertape or Proflex). Maybe try to check out posts on installs with these methods.
For the hair, I tend to stick to Bohyme silky straight.

For me they didn't work I have 3 kids and have to be able to wear my hair up on hectic days. Since the tapes were straight across the sides of my head my hair couldn't be put up. They were great as far as not being noticeable. They told me you could re-use them but when I took them out I had a big glue mess! I ended up getting hot fusion yesterday So far I really like them. I would say the tape extensions would have been nice if I could have styled them up. BTW, they did itch but were not too annoying
I'm wanting info on tape hair extensions please. any info, like worth the money? itchy, bulky, noticible, annoying? how long do they last? can you get them moved up/ put back in after that? etc. please help me lol.

I sure hope I am posting in the right spot! Ok, my hair is pretty fine and long hair looks a bit stringy on me Since I was little I have dreamed of longer, thicker hair, but never thought it would happen. I recently decided to give extensions a try! Like I said my hair is pretty fine and a light blonde color(lots of highlites) I usually wash my hair daily and if I don't then I HAVE to pull it up! I decided to give the seamless tape extensions a try. I loved that they were almost invisible, BUT I couldn't pull my hair up and it drove me nuts ( the tape on the sides stuck out when I tried to pull it up) I really loved the length but had to take them out! Also, I bought what said "100% human remy Hair" but it was really coarse and felt almost like a horse tail??? I figured maybe another method would work for me and a different hair supplier?? I found someone nearby that does cold fusion micro link extensions for a great price and am REALLY thinking about going for it again! Any expert advice would be appreciated! My main concern is being able to pull it up and not being obvious. Thoughts...
