extensions, right?

Here's a throwback from her short hair period, on the cover of Las Vegas magazine:

I think these short layers and especially the bangs look fantastic on her (though I think the back should be just a bit longer and fuller). It's very sophisticated and a big grown-up departure from her teenager Heroes character, and a nice shift from the short, slicked-back version.

Now that I've seen it this way, I'm bummed she grew it out or added extensions or in whatever way went back to standard long blonde Hollywood hair. She could've started a real trend for short, sassy cuts in young women.

Still bummed about the extensions. When she cut it into that short, slicked-back, dramatic look, I thought wow, here's a woman who's intentionally being daring and unique, she'll carve her own path. But with the extensions, she seems to say the opposite: I'm retreating from my uniqueness and going to take the short cut to looking like everyone else again. Aren't I cute?

Or am I reading too much into it? :-)

She is so cute; and her hair seems to grow really, really fast.

Yes! Well, I do, anyway. It's a definite style (versus just hanging there), it frames her face beautifully, it's got volume, the hints of curls all around make it pop, and it suits the occasion. I say, well played, Hayden!

Kramer, I'm guessing you feel differently...?
